Oregon Political Tax Credit

Did you know that the state of Oregon provides a unique opportunity for you to help end domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking?

Through the Oregon Political Tax Credit the state of Oregon gives each tax-payer an income tax credit for donations up to $50 for individuals ($100 for joint filers) to qualified political campaigns or causes, such as VAW PAC.

This is not a deduction, it works like a loan – if you don’t owe any taxes, you’ll get the amount you donated back at tax time (up to $50 for individuals or $100 for joint filers); if you do owe taxes, your payment will be reduced by the amount you gave.

This means it doesn’t cost you anything to help victims and end domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking! So donate your $50 to VAW PAC now.

This is not the same as tax deductible donations made to nonprofit organizations, nor is it the Oregon Charitable Checkoff.  This is an entirely different opportunity for engaging citizens and elected officials, and garnering support for victim services and prevention efforts that is not available to organizations with 501(c)3 status.
